Good evening! Here is a look at our week:
Reading: In reading, we are focusing on how science can help you understand how things work. The skills we are working on this week are rereading and cause and effect.
Math: Today in math we worked on multiplication comparison problems. We will continue to examine these Tuesday as well. The rest of the week we will be digging into multiplication. We will be working on multiplying by tens, hundreds, and thousands on Tuesday, estimating products on Wednesday, and using the distributive property on Friday.
Spelling: Unit 1 Week 4 (Long i)
Social Studies: We are shifting our focus from map skills onto the different cultures that make up the United States. We will do an introduction on Thursday, and on Friday we will begin our research on the various cultures. We will conduct this research in small groups. The students will create a presentation and share what they learned about their assigned culture to the class next week.
Montana History: In Montana History, we will finish up our study on the rivers and mountains in Montana. Then, we will take a closer look at the Continental Divide.
Important this week:
Friday, September 29
SPIRIT DAY ... Bring $1 to be donated to the MT Wildfire Relief efforts - wear Arrowhead gear or blue/gray - a pizza party for the class with the most donations.
October:
