Good evening everyone.
Here is a look at the rest of our week:
Reading: In reading, we are focusing on what you can discover when you look closely at something? The skills and strategy we are working on are summarizing and sequencing. We will be working on these comprehension techniques over the course of the week in small group and whole group reading.
Math: In math, we are now in chapter 9. Chapter 9 is focused on converting fractions to decimals (Mainly focused on tenths and hundredths). This week we are looking at how we can create equivalent fractions for tenths and hundredths to help us convert the fraction into decimal form. We will also look at how fractions in tenths and hundredths relate to money. Finally, we will be adding fractional parts of tenths and hundredths. We will be combining many of the skills we have learned this week and last during this lesson. The chapter 9 test will be next Tuesday.
