Good evening!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful start to their week. Take a look at the rest of our week:
Reading: In reading, we are focused on how animal characters can change familiar stories. The genre of study is drama. The students have been enjoying the opportunity to read the "script" and use their voices to act out the characters. The reading skills we will be practicing this week are asking and answer questions and theme.
Math: In math, we are completing the last lessons in chapter 2. We are working on the traditional algorithm for multiplication. We will start with two-digit by one digit and move to multi-digit by one digit. We will review chapter 2 next Tuesday and take the chapter 2 test on Wednesday (October 31).
Social Studies: In social studies, we are beginning our island project. This project will require the students to use their knowledge about maps to create their own island. They will use their knowledge of a map scale and key to creating a map according to the assignment guidelines.
Montana History: In Montana History, we will be taking notes on our trip to the N.I.L.E.
Spelling: /oo/ (like bloom) and /oo/ (like cookbook)
