Thank you everyone of attending parent-teacher conferences. I enjoyed getting to discuss each kiddos success as we move toward the end of the 1st trimester.
Here is a look into our week:
Reading: In reading, we will be in unit 2 week 5. This week our focus will be on poetry. We will be reading several types of poetry and analyzing figurative language to see what the poem is about. We will also be looking at the point of view in these poems.
Math: We are well into chapter 3 on two-digit by two-digit multiplication. We are moving swiftly through these concepts, as we have made a lot of connections from chapter 2. This week we will be completing lessons 3.7: Problem Solving, reviewing chapter 3, and taking the chapter 3 math test on either Wednesday or Friday.
Spelling: More Vowel + /r/ sounds
Social Studies: On Monday, we will be celebrating Montana's 129th Birthday. We will be decorating cookies with cities, landmarks, and natural features that are significant to Montana. On Friday, we will continue to work on our islands. We will be finishing these next week.
