Good morning!
Math: In math, we began chapter 11: Angles. On Monday, we looked at angles and fractional parts of a circle. We examined turns within the circle. These turns can be clockwise or counterclockwise. Today, we will be looking at how many degrees are in a circle. This will lead us to measure and drawing our own angles later in the week.
Reading: In reading, our focus question is "how can learning about the past help you understand the present?" As we are going through the week we will be trying to answer this question. We will use summarizing and sequencing to help us analyze the text for a deeper understanding.
Spelling: Unit 5 Week 5
Social Studies: Today we are having our states and capital test for the South East Region. After this, we will begin chapter 10: The Midwest! We will complete the Geography Challenge together to become familiar with the area before we begin our journey.
Writing: In writing, we are finalizing our peer reviews for our persuasive essays on space and turning them in. This will be the last week. After this, this assignment will be homework.
NEXT WEEK: We will begin our NWEA testing. Our first test will be on Tuesday and the second will be on Wednesday. Please be sure to get a good nights sleep and a balanced breakfast before the tests! We are going to do great!
