Good evening! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the nice weather.
We have individual picture day this Wednesday. We will be taking pictures before PE right when we get to school at 8:15. Please be sure to send your kiddo with shoes to wear during PE. Students may also change before PE if needed.
Our week:
Reading: In reading, we are working on compare and contrast by using a Venn Diagram. We will be exploring various non-fiction tests to compare different types and forms of natural disasters.
Math: In math, we are reviewing the concepts of chapter 1. On Tuesday we will do math rotations to review the concepts, Wednesday we will do a review as a class by looking at specific types of problems, and on Friday we will be taking our Chapter 1 Math Test. Students will be able to understand place value (the value of and place of a digit), rounding, comparing numbers (using greater than, less than, or equal to), adding whole numbers, and subtracting whole numbers.
Spelling: Long and short "i"
Montana History: We will be looking at the state that border Montana.
Social Studies: In social studies, we will be learning about latitude and longitude lines. Latitude lines are the "ladder" that we can climb. We can climb up into the northern hemisphere or down into the southern hemisphere. Longitude lines are the "up and down".
